On all our Southern Africa routes you can choose (subject to availability) from a Suzuki DL650 V-Strom, BMW F700GS, or BMW F800GS. The ‘base bike’ – the model included in the basic tour cost is the Suzuki DL650 V-Strom. The Suzuki is a dual purpose V-twin and is very good for solo or two-up use on a variety of terrains.
Our bikes are fitted with dual-purpose tyres, with tread patterns appropriate to a tour’s terrain.
An upgrade to a BMW is available at extra cost, which varies according to the duration of the tour.
All models are available with lowered seat heights, so please let us know if you need a lower bike.
You will be required to place an excess deposit of £1000 against damage to all of our bikes. This must be done online by credit card before you arrive. Please see Terms & Conditions of Hire. Our Suzukis are fitted with crash bars to minimise any damage and we do not charge for marks on these articles, or seek to make a profit from repairs.
